ABOUT THIS PRIVACY POLICY

Frances Equine respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information responsibly.

This Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected and used when you visit this website, contact Frances Equine or take part in the Listening Project.

Frances Equine is operated by Caroline Frances Des-Rivieres as a sole trader.

INFORMATION COLLECTED

When you complete the contact form or correspond about the Listening Project, information may include:

  • your name

  • your email address

  • your telephone number, if you choose to provide it

  • your location or yard area, where relevant

  • information you choose to share about your experience with horses

  • correspondence relating to arranging or following up a Listening Project conversation

During a Listening Project conversation, you may also choose to share further information about your experiences, views and relationship with horses.

HOW YOUR INFORMATION IS USED

Your information may be used to:

  • respond to your enquiry

  • arrange and communicate with you about a Listening Project conversation

  • understand the experiences, questions and themes shared by horse owners and riders

  • identify broader themes that may inform the future development of Frances Equine coaching, workshops and educational resources

  • maintain appropriate records relating to the project

Individual stories, quotations, photographs or other identifiable material will only be used publicly following separate discussion and agreement with the person concerned.

LAWFUL BASIS

Personal information is processed where it is necessary to respond to your request to take part in or enquire about the Listening Project and where there is a legitimate interest in administering and developing the project.

Where specific consent is appropriate—for example, for the public use of an identifiable quotation, photograph or testimonial—it will be requested separately.

HOW YOUR INFORMATION IS STORED

Information submitted through this website is processed through Wix and may also be held within Frances Equine email and administrative records.

Reasonable steps are taken to keep personal information secure and accessible only where needed for the purposes described in this policy.

SHARING YOUR INFORMATION

Personal information may be processed by service providers used to operate the website, email and associated business systems.

Personal information will only be shared more widely where this is necessary for the operation of the service, where you have agreed to it, or where there is a legal requirement to do so.

HOW LONG INFORMATION IS KEPT

Enquiry information that does not lead to participation will normally be deleted after 12 months.

Personal information relating to participants in the Listening Project will normally be retained for up to two years after our last contact, unless there is a legal or administrative reason to keep particular information for longer.

Anonymised information and themes that no longer identify an individual may be retained for longer to support the continuing development of the project.

Under UK data protection law, you may have rights relating to your personal information, including the right to:

  • ask for access to the information held about you

  • ask for inaccurate information to be corrected

  • ask for information to be deleted in certain circumstances
